As I journey into a life of moves and deployments, I thought it would be a good idea to begin documenting my adventures and thoughts.

Days go by quicker.
Well, the Countdown is now at about 139 days. Wow. It is coming all too quick. I still need to do my EFMP appointment so I can get on Bryce's orders. The weeks are few. Only about 19 left. I am so excited to live in Germany, even if we are on a base, but it will definitely be rough leaving Colorado Springs. I have always hoped to leave and see somewhere new, I can't believe it will be a different country. With The end of February being a rocky time with the passing of one of the greatest man, my grandfather, everything seems to be in a fuzzy blur. I know that I can't leave my dreams and my future in hindsight just so I don't have to fear missing a beat around here. Things will be different, but I think it will be a good thing to get away from the normal, and truly find out who I am. Anyways, I have been looking at housing, I think as long as we get an apt with a balcony we will be fine. How big are they though?! We really need to e- mail our sponsor. Well, until we check more of our list. Good-bye for now.

Only time will tell!
Here we go. The countdown is now at about 153 days. Wow. We have been slowly prepping for our BIG move in 5 months. We have attended the Levy briefing as well as a interduction to Germany and Overseas class. So much info, but I am still super excited . Bryce is starting to really look forward to the move. I think that the fact Europe is big on airsofting is getting him to that point. I have slowly been working on picking up Deutsch, however I need to start digging in deep. We have found out that we are only able to bring 2 pets. So the cats will be be living with my mom. They will enjoy living in a house where the can run around and cause mischief. Once I have been through my EFMP appointment I will be placed on Bryce's orders, and then we head to passports. This is going to be a very interesting move. We have to leave at least half of our appliances do to the possibility that our housing won't have the adjustment to 110. That is ok. It gives us more leeway with our weight allowance. Well, only time can tell how the adventure is to unfold. All I know is that this summer will have to be the one to remember as we might not be home for 3 years. Wow.

Orders are in!!
Or official orders are in. We are now destined to Wiesbaden, Germany. That is pronounced V-eee-s-bah-den. We have to be there on August 10th. That leaves a count down of about 202 days. Crazy. As Bryce talks to friends that have gone, he is becoming more thrilled and ready for this journey. Me, on the other hand, have been ready for Germany for almost 10 years. I have begun doing research on the base, the town, basically everything. Bryce says we have plenty of time, I am terrified that we are going to miss an important regulation or piece of info. Not to count, I need all info on getting our pets safely there. We should be able to take at least the two dogs, hopefully the cats as well, but Bubba will have to stay behind. That breaks my heart. My mom is going to take him in, if anyone loves him as much as I do it's her, haha. Crazy turtle. I have a goal in the next 202 days, I will be picking up German again. It ought to be pretty simple, yes the military offers some basic course. I want to be able to speak a good amount with out a translation book in my face, we will see how it goes. Since I took German in high school I have lost much of my conversational skills, but I can still recall many words, basic rules of grammar, need to know phrases, and small things about the German culture. I spoke with my high school German teacher and he says that Americans see Germany as small when compared to America, technically it is. In my eyes, Germany is this extravagant place that holds part of my heart that I will never be able to fully excavate, sort of like Colorado, it just keeps surprising you and has so much to give. I bet when our time comes to an end in Deutschland I will not be ready to leave, I wouldn't have seen enough, and I will want to return. This adventure is a truly a dream that I never thought I would be able to see come true. I am sad that there is a good chance that Bryce will have to deploy one or more times while we are there, but Europe has a beauty, a history, a story that is just wanting to be unfolded and sought out. There is so much change that is going to come along with this journey, Bryce and I both will be completely away from family. We will have to depend on one another, which should help to strengthen and discover a deeper level of our marriage. Well, as new information emerges I will update or steps of this journey.

What's next?
Well, life has a way to change in a matter of minutes. I am an army wife. I am married to a handsome army sergeant. Bryce, my husband, works in a motor pool at Fort Carson right now. I love it here as it is my hometown, him on the other hand doesn't. He is a CO native, and his fam is over in Junction. Right now we have a small 2 bed apartment with our two dogs, two cats, and my turtle. This is where the whole story begins. Bryce was fed up with being in the service. He wanted to go to school and get a " real" job. After taking repeatedly with his parents, friends, family, me, and the co national guard recruiter Bryce has decide to re- enlist and take our small family OVERSEAS!!!!! His choices: Australia, Germany, Korea, Honduras, Ireland, Alaska, Kansas, and Texas. Automatically Hondoras for safest was out, Korea because I couldn't go was out, we didn't want Texas, Ireland was taken quickly by someone else, same with Australia, Kansas was a no. That left Germany and Alaska. We put in for Germany, only to get a response a few days later that it was gone. So we were going to wait till we could try for Alaska. About a week after we got a call saying we some how got another Germany position. We are destined for Heidelburg, Germany on August 10th 2012. I am over thrilled about it. I have wanted to go to Germany since I was 14 years old. Yay. Now is my chance. Bryce is slowly getting trilled. Right now his trill factor is hunting red stag and the fact that Christopher, Lisa, and Parker are over in England and we can visit with them. This shall be an adventure.
